Upon opening the front cover I noticed a stamp mark, which stated it was from my hometown. I had to stop and think about where I got the book from, and then remembered I was going to buy it from the op-shop which is about 45 minutes from my hometown, but the lady behind the counter gave it to me for free (she is also from said hometown, thanks Linny). This is a collection of stories from mothers all over Australia and beyond. They each share the incredible moments of birth or other parts of their journeys as mothers. All up there are seventeen stories; all about a chapter long. Some are stories of triumph, overcoming adversity, all consuming love, fear or loss. There isn't a lot I can say about the book as a whole, seeing as it wasn't really a book... But I thoroughly enjoyed it and am looking forward to reading Mother Love 2, which I have. Rate: 7/10 Recommended If: You like reading about babies and want to know the truth about birth. What I discovered: I have always wanted to have a water birth, but now I think that I'd also like to have a home birth. |

Hi Jemma was this spaced over a few decades or more focused on a specific time period?

It spanned over quite a while Nicky. It was published in 1996 and some ladies had grandchildren while others were pregnant during that time.
