Now I am mad. I wrote half of the review and firefox crashed. Back to square one. *deep breaths* How did it start? Hmm yes... Some of you may not know that this book is what the soon to be released film Love, Rosie is based off. I saw the trailer when I went to see Maze Runner with a friend at the cinema. He was like "I have to see this movie". I was like "I have to read this book" Low and behold, my friend actually has it and I actually got to read it. He is still waiting. The tale follows Alex and Rosie who grow up as best friends in Dublin and is told entirely through letters, emails, texts, instant messages, etc. It starts with them age five and continues for another fifty years. When Alex is in high school, he and his family move to USA which unravels a series of unfortunate events (I went there). Poor Rosie has a pretty tough life. But her and Alex stay best friends, even as they grow old and wrinkly. I don't want to give too much away so I'll stop there. All you need to know is that it is a realistic and funny novel that you won't be able to put down. Rate: 8/10 Got it from: My dear friend Terri (through another dear friend Nicky) Made me Laugh: "Mummy says you are getting married to a girl named Bimbo. That's a funny name" |
