Anyone But Ivy Pocket
This book is positively and radically unique! I adored it!
It is a story of zest, fierce character development and the uttermost brilliant language features that will have you smiling silly throughout it. You see, Ivy Pocket is a maid. A maid that has been abandoned by her lady in waiting and sent on what she sees as a fool's errand. Ivy is full of sass and wicked humour, and she leaves a trail of confusion and awe in her midst as she heads back to England to deliver the Clock Diamond to the dreadful Matilda. But all is not as it seems, as this silly little diamond has a dark and dreary past with secrets and suspicion lurking behind every corner. What is Ivy to do? I could actually rave about this book all day! My copy is an ARC hardcover and has an astonishingly beautiful cover. There are blank spaces where illustrations will be, and instead of feeling disappointed by this, I got very, very excited! You see, I, with my teacher thinking brain cannot wait to read this book when I have a class of my own. We can read a chapter and the students can use their crafty imagination to create their own illustrations for the book. Clever aren't I?! This soon to be series will surely be loved by all.
