The Girl Most Likely
Do you know what I love???... Okay, I'll tell you... I love opening a book and realising in the first few pages that it is written either by an Australian or is based in Australia, around Australian characters. Especially when you didn't know and just figured it would be an American book like all the rest. I mean, it just automatically gives you a story/character that you can relate to.
This book is Australian and about 27 year old Brisbane (which is close to where I live) Rachel, who had the 'it' life for her entire life up until now... where she is living with her parents and babysitting six year old Alex (who does not like her) as a living. Rachel has to discover how to get back to her glorified life... or if she even wants to. Chuck in some love, friendship and gasp worthy laughs, this story will keep you well entertained. Rate: 7/10 Recommended If: You need a laugh and want to know how us Aussies really live Favourite Quotes: "Open tin of Milo with the teaspoon still inside it, check" "Dear Kellogg's I have long been a fan of your work. However, I feel that it is imperative to inform you that your product, Fruit Loops, has the capacity to damage the roof of the consumer's mouth. It appears that said 'Loop' is actually quite sharp and when indulging in the cereal as a dry meal, the consumer can end up injured after a few successive hours of eating. Should you wish to ammend this matter, I will happily receive free product at the above listed address. Sincerely, Rachel Hill". |
